Radonda Vaught was the R.N. at Vanderbilt whom gave the pt. a general anesthesia medication instead of versed and subsequently died unmonitored and in suffocation death mode. This was about five+ yrs old since then the so called R.N. has been in legally sanctioned mode and convicted of a felony. The case commonly left out evidence of the details to which were found to reveal pictures of identifying syringe used. A syringe used as its the one which comes w/pyxsis when you dispense it. It is plain nacl vile of ten cc. The evidence shows that it was used to mix the medication and tested positive for the paralytic agent used. Made to public knowledge is late to keep cover. Not so fast.
The damning evidence shows in order to give this medication the accompanying medication was mixed and made; whilst another orientee watched. The rest of the story of medical error becomes clear of the poor training Plus many other issues. So youve got two R,N.s mixing up a med that is clearly labeled, w/noteworthy alerts, and even if they gave the medication the physician prescribed you still need monitoring and not leave the pt. alone in a tunnel of hate. The ignorance and post behaviors continues to demonstrate top shelf arrogance whilst appeals for relief; post system throwing nurse a sweetheart deal. Another civil case gone criminal w/corporate and administration nurse immoralities. It would be impossible to claim pharmacy discrepancies not only b/c pharmacist will examine everything and will not sign off w/blame.
