Many physically successful people did not shy away from meat, red or otherwise. Jack LaLane and Bruce Lee to name a few. The current believe is animal fat, in small amounts, is the primary catalyst for storage and releasing vitamins during periods where few vitamins are ingested. Cardiovascular physician sometimes claim red meat clogs vessels. Maybe so but volumes in large amounts of anything can be bad.
